I've begun to try out Linux, and was wondering how many of you out there are using it, do you like it, how are you using it? As a dual boot, primary OS or just occasionally? I'd love to cross over from Micro$oft, but two things keep me tied to the Evil Empire, first and foremost is Stardock and all the goodies that they have and second are the games that I have purchased for my son to play. If not for those two things I'd make the jump in a hot second.
I finally got a gmail account, but neither the mail widgets nor sysmetrix seem to be working. I'm pretty sure I have them configured correctly, but Sysmetrix, for example, will totally close my dial up connection when I try to check my gmail account. I have a gmail account, Sysmetrix, Incredimail, DesktopX, and AVG Antivirus. So if there's anyone who has a similar setup that works, please tell me how you did it. Thanks in Advance.
I have to connect to the internet using dial-up. I know, I HAVE heard of DSL and Cable. Unfortunately, there is NO WAY I'm gonna pay $50(US) for cable access, and DSL is not available in my area. Plus, how could I justify it to the wife, especially when she's wanting to get out of this apartment and into a house. Anyway, she often complains about not being able to get through when I'm online. So does anyone know of a GOOD computer call waiting progam I can get that will help to sol...
